Profile made of polyethylene foam, with a circular cross-section and closed pores. The product is used as a filler for expansion and waterproof joints that will be sealed later.

Features

  • easy to use due to its low weight
  • has adequate compressive strength allowing for the correct application of the sealing material
  • does not absorb water due to its closed-pore structure
  • its higher density of the top layer provides the profile with good mechanical properties without affecting its workability
  • especially suitable as an expansion cord for joints that are to be sealed with silicones, polysulphides, polyurethane, polyacrylics, etc.
  • allows to determine the depth of filling the expansion joint with putty
  • allows to maintain the axial state of stress in the expansion joint, due to the lack of adhesion of the joint in the expansion joint to the polyethylene expansion cord
