Prodmax - ALU rotary chimney cowl

Rotary chimney cowls used for ventilation chimneys. Spherical and longitudinal rotary bases are produced in the range of diameters of the intake pipes in ventilation ducts DN 150 - 300 mm. The attachments can be made of aluminum or acid-resistant sheet. They support the chimney draft by creating a vacuum in the ventilation duct and prevent back draft. The second purpose of using the attachments is to protect the chimney ventilation duct against precipitation.

Assembly

The longitudinal or spherical slewing base should be mounted on top of the chimney through the base or directly on the chimney pipe. In both cases, the roots should be under the roof gable. It is important that the base is not covered on all sides by a wall or other flue pipe. In a situation where the distance between the chimney ducts is small, it is best to install longitudinal swivel bases. By flattening the base through the base, mark the hole in the mounting studs on the top of the chimney, drill the holes, place wall plugs in them, then screw the base of the rotary base by sticking the previously attached gaskets. If necessary, remove the chimney top with sealant beforehand. After checking that the whole structure is stable, put the cap on and tighten it to the base with side nuts. The cowl should rotate freely without any sound effect. When mounting the base directly on the chimney-insert pipe, fasten it with the help of side nuts - before cutting the longitudinal holes in the pipe. It should be remembered that in any case, to ensure the safety of users, the installation of attachments should be entrusted to specialized specialists.

Maintenance

Rotary bases, like any technical device, require maintenance. The review is best done once a year. A good moment is the annual review of chimney and ventilation ducts performed by chimney sweep factories. In order to carry out such an inspection, it is necessary to disassemble, by unscrewing the side nuts, the upper (rotating) part of the cap. Easy access to the chimney duct will allow you to check it, and the removed base can be cleaned - preferably with generally available detergent and running water. After drying and possible removal of technical defects, put the cap back on the base and tighten the side nuts.

Warranty

PRODMAX longitudinal and spherical rotary bases have a warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase. The warranty is valid only with proof of purchase and correctly filled out warranty card. It does not cover defects, which arose as a result of external mechanical forces, impurities, own processing, factor in chemical and unprofessional assembly.
